An extraordinary, incredibly rare piece of early 2000s fashion history - an authentic, 1st gen mainline Doctor Satchel from the designer's peak Italian era. Extremely difficult to find, this specific archival variant perfectly marries industrial, rugged utility with a delicate, retro silhouette. The bag features a beautiful, structured leather-covered metal frame highlighted by a highly unique, classic coin-purse style kiss-lock closure. This mechanical masterpiece is neatly concealed and accented by a prominent vertical center strap with an oversized roller buckle. Crafted from premium, heavy-weight grainy calfskin with a flat organic grain, it ages into a stunning natural patina. Extremely rare and highly sought after by fashion archivists. Size: 13 x 7 approx Fully lined in the highly coveted, rare vibrant yellow suede—the official signature of an authentic early-2000s Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer Collection piece. This is a stunningly well made bag (probably weighs 5 pounds!) from the thick Italian leather, the hand stitching, the leather covered metal frame with a very vintage Kisslock closure, to the gorgeous suede interior. This is truly one of the most high quality bags I have ever seen, much nicer than any other luxury bag. This is a vintage bag with patina and imperfections - she's cleaned, conditioned and her condition is listed as good due to age and leather patina, but the leather, hardware, stitching are in great condition. Doesn’t look like a 26 year old bag!
