【Adjusted】ADLER 1357SP JDR Bassoon *Currently undergoing repairs. Shipping will be from June 1st at the earliest. This is a ready-to-play instrument with some pads replaced, disassembled and adjusted, and the joints re-wrapped, so you can use it immediately upon arrival. A best-selling model with a current list price of approximately 1.6 million yen. This is a bassoon from the Adler era, made in East Germany. It is now integrated into Oscar Adler & Co. and is branded as Adler. (Furthermore, it merged with the prestigious Mönnig in 2000.) The Adler brand is a long-established manufacturer, comparable to Schreiber and other German brands. For reference, the catalog list price for the Adler 1357SP currently sold by JDR is approximately 1.6 million yen. This instrument had been stored for a considerable time, and for this listing, it has been serviced by a repair workshop specializing in double reeds to ensure it is ready for immediate use. ■ Service Details Overall adjustment Replacement of some pads Tone hole cleaning Joint thread re-wrapping (1 location) Bocal cork replacement This is an adjusted, ready-to-play instrument, so please consider it. ■ Accessories Case (hinges are faulty, so please consider purchasing a replacement) 1 Bocal JDR (Murata made) Manufactured around 1990, please understand that it has signs of age with scratches from use and on the silver-plated keys, including some peeling. Please check the photos carefully. The keys are silver-plated (SP). As is typical of German instruments, it is more robust than many Chinese bassoons seen recently, with good intonation and tone. We recommend this instrument for concert bands, orchestras, solo performances, double reed players such as oboists and English horn players, and hobbyists. As it is a high-end model, it may also be suitable for students aiming for music college. Thank you. Click here for the manufacturer's site
