An A4, 18-page instruction manual, translated from the English manual to Japanese, is also included. It is in perfect working condition. Charging is done via a USB-B cable. Subscription and Activation Steps: 1. Account Creation: Visit the Garmin Explore website and create an account. 2. Device Registration: Enter your device's IMEI number and authentication code (found in the device's Settings or Device Information) and select a plan. 3. Plan Selection: Choose between a monthly (Freedom Plan) or annual subscription based on your usage frequency. 4. Outdoor Synchronization: After completing the subscription, take the device outdoors to an open area with a clear view of the sky and wait for it to receive a satellite signal to complete activation (this may take up to 20 minutes). Important Notes: Management App: For older inReach SE models, the primary smartphone management app is Earthmate, not Garmin Messenger. Upgrade Benefits: As of 2026, upgrade programs may still be available for customers looking to trade in older DeLorme devices (like the inReach SE/Explorer) for the latest models.
